Creating beauty has been Josiah’s passion and profession for over twelve years. Born and raised in Hawaii, his road to the industry began as an entertainer in the “Taste of Honey,” where he learned the art of illusion….make-up. Taking his forte` to the next level, he relocated to fabulous Las Vegas in 1999, putting his mark on Sin City. He worked back stage at various shows on the Vegas Strip. He was Cheetah’s, (yes, THE Cheetah’s) make-up artist for six years. Traveling to New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles Josiah learned from some of the most talented make-up artists in the business. His passion was refining and redefining what beauty means, whether on stage or on a wedding day, if the goal was “stunning,” then clients went to him.

In 2006 he took it even further by getting an education in cosmetology…. Hair. Skin. Nails. That journey took him to even greater heights by working alongside some of the most brilliant hairstylists in Nevada, as well as with being trained by Bumble & bumble’s network of educators. Now, Josiah brings his talents to Portland and 77 Salon. It would be his pleasure to create YOUR definition of beauty.
